Wellcome Trust Masters Award (History of Medicine) – now closed.

The Centre for History in Public Health at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) invites applications for nomination for the annual Master’s award in the History of Medicine.

The MSc award is open to a student accepted for the MSc Public Health, MSc Public Health for Development, MSc Nutrition for Global Health and MSc Health Policy, Planning & Financing who agrees to follow an ‘historical pathway’ through the MSc. This means taking the History & Health module and writing a dissertation on a historical subject for their Masters dissertation.

Funding and Eligibility

The award will provide full tuition fees at UK/EU rate and a living allowance.

Criteria for the Award

Preference for the award will be given to a student who can demonstrate initial training or a proven interest in history. Social Science experience is also an advantage.
