A Theatrical Examination of Madness, Prisons and Solitary Confinement

‘Disorder Contained’ is a theatrical production for the Wellcome Trust funded project ‘Prisoners, Medical Care, and Entitlement to Health in England and Ireland, 1850-2000’, based at Warwick, UCD, and LSHTM: https://histprisonhealth.com On tour now, it draws on the work of Assistant Professor Catherine Cox and Professor Hilary Marland, and explores the history and impact of solitary confinement.
