LSHTM is an international centre of excellence in global public health, one of Europe’s leading postgraduate medical institutions and Britain’s nation school of public health.  The Centre for History in Public Health, has a unique position in LSHTM, where historians rub shoulders with epidemiologists and public health/ health service researchers from all parts of the world.  The Centre promotes research and teaching in the history of public health in the twentieth and twenty first centuries.

The study of history can be found in several of the School’s Master Degrees and specific modules.  Research degree students also undertake historical research. Training can be carried out on a full-time or part-time basis and either in-house or via distance learning. We are currently in the process of developing a MOOC to be launched later in 2017.
